Squid Head

Squid head is a by-product of squid processing, consisting of the head and attached tentacles (including feeding tentacles and arms). This part has firm, springy flesh with a uniquely crunchy and chewy texture. Squid head is rich in protein, taurine, and various minerals, yet low in fat. After removing the eyes and beak, and thorough cleaning, it exhibits a natural color. Suitable for grilling, stir-frying, deep-frying, and teppanyaki, it is a popular seafood ingredient in night markets and the foodservice industry.
